   HB (Bridge sponsor bun)

This is HB, isn't he lovely.  He's only a little man, mostly lionhead in breed, hence the fluffiness.  He's around 6 years old and he came to us along with his buddy Thumper.  He and Thumper had a wee 'fall out' and didn't want to be friends any more, we think that it was because Thumper was very young compared to HB and when Thumper's testosterone kicked in, things went a bit sour.  However we are on the lookout for a Missus for him to keep him company.  In the meantime, his run is in between two girly buns just for his entertainment!

HB is sponsored by:

Susan Humphreys and Grissom

Update:  HB has moved indoors with us as he's getting a bit stiff now, he has arthritis in his spine.  He's finally found the love of his life although its a bit clandestine!  He secretly meets Fi at the baby gate when Fudge isn't keeping an eye on her, but don't tell anyone.  Fi sticks her head through the gate and grooms his face for ages and, in return, he pee's beside the gate *grrrr.... lol!* but that's bunnies for you....

Update April 2009: Sadly HB was recently diagnosed as having renal failure and there wasn't anything the vet could do for him, we were advised to let him enjoy all the time he had left with us.  We piled love, warmth and kindness on him, gave him anything he wanted to eat, and gave him his very own heater to sit in front of for when he wanted to snooze.  We knew he wasn't in pain or suffering because he was still eager to eat and would come running to meet us when we went upstairs, until he gradually didn't want to do this anymore.  We knew the end was coming but we didn't expect it to happen so quickly.  One Friday night he just wasn't quite right, we hoped he was just having an 'off' day, but by Saturday morning we knew he'd had enough so we asked the vet to come to the house.

HB spent his last morning in his Auntie Rachel's arms, wrapped up in a cosy towel.  It was a beautiful sunny morning and I asked Rachel to carry him out into the garden so he could smell all the different scents, feel the soft breeze, visit all the other buns and, most importantly, say goodbye to his bunny buddy Thumper.

I can't really believe he's gone ....

~ Binky free wee man, we'll miss your cheeky and loving nature.  We'll always have a picture in our minds of you lying stretched out in front of your heater.  Love you forever HB, till we meet again sweetie, take all our love to the spirit buns and tell them we miss them so ~
