   Fudge (Sponsor bun)

This charming wee man with the cheeky 'Elvis' (uh huh huh!) smirk is Fudge.  His face is paralysed on the left side (right side looking at the photo).  The vet wasn't absolutely sure what caused the paralysis, however he's been treated and he's otherwise fit and healthy.  His owners contacted us to see if we would take him in as they were going abroad due to work commitments and they were concerned that, due to his paralysis, nobody would want him.

It's our intention to introduce him to Fi once she has been spayed, to see if they would like to live together and keep each other company.

Update: Fudge and Fi are now bonded and very much in love.  A short while after they were bonded, Fudge developed an bad eye infection and needed to be kept indoors until he recovered, so they were moved indoors.  When he was just about recovered, Fi developed a snotty nose, so she needed to be kept indoors for longer, resulting in them both becoming indoor buns probably at least until Spring now .... my poor carpet is taking a hammering! ....

Update 2009: Fudge has a recurring abscess in his left ear.  It appears to be manageable and he's a really good boy when getting it treated.  Fi is also the bestest nursing assistant in the world!
