These are some of the wonderful efforts people have made to raise cash to help us keep our doors open:
* Tom and Shona Wilson and family gave a
large donation to help with all of the CARROT buns
* Arbroath Charity Boxing very kindly donated £80 to CARROT, after a charity boxing event, many other charities benefited from their generosity and hard work too, well done guys, and remember - arnica cream is really good for bruises! * Lola the bunny won £50 in a Balloon Release Competition, her balloon reached Sweden, as a result Lola decided that she would get her owner to tell the children at Dalry Primary School in Ayrshire during assembly on the 16th of May all about rabbits, rescues and CARROT in particular. The winning ticket was sold by Johnnie Blue. The children of Dalry Primary School now sponsor Kobe so, to them, Kobe says 'thank you all very much, and should any of the children visit the East coast for a holiday, they'd be very welcome to come and visit' * Arbroath Scouts very kindly donated £100 from their fundraising Christmas Card Delivery Service, thank you so much for allowing CARROT to benefit * Parkside Veterinary Group had a collection for us in their Dundee practice and raised a grand total of £61.45. Well done, and thank you so much to those who donated, it's very much appreciated. * Many people called in person to give us Christmas gifts for the buns and donations for their keep, and some people posted gifts to us, you know who you all are and we thank you again. Oh and I got a pressie of the 'Disapproving Rabbits' book, it's wonderful and makes me laugh ..... lots! I can soooooo relate to some of the bun expressions in it. I highly recommend it! . * The Carnoustie Pet and Garden Centre won the 'best dressed window' competition, and as part of the prize they were asked to nominate a charity to receive a cheque for £100, Mel chose CARROT. Mel phoned me on Christmas morning to tell me (she'd been keeping it secret!) and I promptly burst into tears when I heard the news *blushes furiously*. It was a wonderful surprise and really appreciated, thank you again Mel :) . * Many many thanks to everyone who took part in the 2007 'Wabbiting On Christmas Fundraiser' which raised a very grand total of £319!!! This amount has been shared equally between CARROT and Ebony Eyes and will be spent wisely! . * Nic and Gordon held a Grand Raffle and raised £184 for the bunnies, well done guys and thank you so much, we really appreciate it. This total was also shared equally between CARROT and Ebony Eyes. . * Babs and Dave Hodgson from Carnoustie had a birthday and anniversary party, and instead of receiving gifts from her friends and relatives, she asked that they donate money to rescues, CARROT was one of the rescues chosen, and we received a donation of £233.35, the other rescues were one for hedgehogs and one for cats. What a lovely gesture, thank you so much. . * Wallace Veterinary Centre in Carnoustie raised a total of £30 for C.A.R.R.O.T., a lovely gesture and so appreciated, thank you to all who donated! * Darryl-B held a Bingo Night in Forfar and raised £100 for the bunnies, thanks very much Darryl, the bunnies appreciate it! * Caitlin did another sponsored walk on behalf of CARROT and raised a whopping £110. Very special thanks to wee Caitlin and many thanks to those who sponsored her Here she is presenting her cheque to me and HB the bunny:

Thanks so much guys, it's really appreciated * Wabbiting On Forum Fundraiser - a very very special thank you to all who participated in the WO fundraising throughout 2006 and special hugs to Nicola for all her time, her energy and yes even her own funds! to ensure Christmas 2006 was a lovely time for all the bunnies at CARROT and Ebony Eyes * RWF Rabbiting On / Rabbit Rehome Sponsor-a-Bunny Scheme - Snowball decided she was going to be the ambassador on behalf of all the CARROT bunnies, they raised a very grand total of £256 for us * Jenny's sponsored half marathon run * Isobel made a number of beautiful items to be sold at a local craft fair, the star item being a wonderful advent calendar:
* Pam undertook the organisation of a big craft fair which was a huge success! So much so, the participants want her to organise another (oooooooh the stress!) * Nicola (owner of Wee Mubby, Binky Boo and Teddy) carried out a huge Christmas fundraising campaign, thank you to all who gave so generously, details here . Her bunnies, Mubby and Binky Boo also sent a massive box of toys (bought with their own pocket money!) for the C.A.R.R.O.T. buns:
* Nik and Gordon hosted several car boot sales at Errol, gathering items from friends and relatives and selling them to get money for the buns, they did really well * Pam did a car boot sale in Arbroath for us
* Previously we've held a couple of
