   OB

This is OB, he came to us after his owner contacted us to ask if we would take him because he couldn't care for him due to his own various health problems.

OB had suffered flystrike as a result of dental problems but he had been treated by a vet and was recovering nicely.  When we got him, his wee bum was bare and covered in scabs, and his tail looked like a wee stick.

He developed into a lovely wee man, he devoured his veggies and grass like a good'un and would leap and run like a nutter!  Gradually he slowed down and developed breathing problems.  As a result, our vet suggested antibiotics, both orally and nebulised.  We brought him indoors and he lived comfortably in his own room.  He lost his appetite and was given meds to help this, we also supplemented by syringe feeding, which he loved!  Then one day he refused even his syringe food, we knew this wasn't a good sign and that we were going to lose him.  Sadly OB had decided it was time for him to leave us and head for Rainbow Bridge.

We asked for a post mortem to be performed and the vet found that OB had been harbouring a huge infection in his right lung and it had been developing over a long time, we could have done nothing more.

~ OB, we only knew you for a very short time but in that time, we grew to love you very much, you were such a character and gave us so much happiness.  We miss you so much, I wish you could have stayed just a little longer.  Take all our love to the spirit buns and tell them we miss them so.  Till we meet again wee man... ~
